My mission is to give you access to a great HR business partner for your small or growing business, when you need it.

People are crucial to an organisation’s success, so I’m dedicated to enhancing their work lives and helping them achieve better results. HR solutions aren’t one-size-fits-all, I will use my experience to provide practical, customised solutions tailored to your specific needs.

Background

My name is Jennie Griffiths and I’ve worked in in-house HR in the UK for more than 10 years, across a wide range of industries, from engineering and consultancies to call centres and education.

I set up Foster Your People in 2024, a time of proposed major changes to employment rights in the UK. I became an independent consultant to share my knowledge, skills and passion for good HR and people management with both established SME organisations and Start-ups (particularly within our local area of Dumfries and Galloway) that may not have access to full time in-house HR professionals.

I’m here to help if you want advice or if you’re looking for more practical support with selecting, managing, developing and retaining staff.

I’m also really interested in HR tech and systems, having spent a lot of time at the sharp end trying to un-pick messy records, and implementing modern systems. There are some great affordable options on the market that really help small organisations save time and energy, I keep up to date on the trends and developments and can help you to implement one that suits your needs.

My approach is to understand what is important for your business, then I can give you pragmatic straightforward advice, helping you to stay legally compliant and navigate whatever people challenges you are facing, in the best way for your organisation.

I’m a fully qualified and Chartered Member of the CIPD, with a BSc Hons in Business Administration from the University of Bath and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Oxford Brookes University. I’m also a British Psychological Society Accredited Test User for Ability Testing and Occupational Personality Testing, qualified to use psychometric tests and the MBTI assessment which can be a powerful tool for team building, individual development, change management and communication.

Values

As a CIPD member, I adhere to strict professional and ethical principles, as well as putting my own strong personal values at the heart of my practice. When working with me, you will find that I uphold and value:

Respect and humanity

Collaboration

Transparency

Professionalism and integrity

“Speaking with Jennifer gave me reassurance and suggestions for easy and affordable improvements for managing my employee admin”
